 The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort is dedicated to positively contributing to the environment and has launched several "Green" initiatives in recent months and plans to add more with each passing day. All of the coastal retreat’s green projects are spearheaded by The Green Committee, comprised of staff members that meet regularly to discuss implementation of eco-friendly operations. "The Green Room", a recently opened concept in environmentally-friendly laundry facility is available free to all guests of the hotel. This new self-serve facility is 100% environmentally friendly and all construction materials from floor to ceiling are made from post-consumer recycled materials. Washers and dryers are Energy Star rated, the lighting uses energy efficient bulbs, the wall surface has been painted with low VOC paint, all accessories are made from recycled materials, and the detergent selection includes a non-toxic, biodegradable option.
